A
Message from Ronnie Rose
Hello
Friends and Fans:
For
years you have inquired about purchasing a CD of mine. Well,
finally you can! After surrounding myself with excellent musicians
and great arrangements, my desire to fulfill your wishes has
been completed. Paul Schmeling, former head of piano studies
at Berklee College was the guiding force behind these wonderful
renditions of classic Nat King Cole songs.
The
beautiful sounds of piano, strings and horn create warm and
intimate ballads. Add the horn section and you’ve got some numbers
that really swing. I
hope you will continue to support my career by purchasing a
CD or joining me at the party.

Ronnie
Rose has been entertaining New Englanders for years and subsequently
has a devoted fan base who love his smooth vocals. If easy listening
romantic ballads and jazzy light swing are your cup of tea, you will
want to add this CD to your collection. Top notch musicians wonderfully
accentuate well crafted arrangements of classic “Nat King Cole” hits.
This is a great CD for a relaxed drive home.

NOTES
I
truly feel blessed to have met so many beautiful and warm people throughout
my career. As a nightclub entertainer and band leader who has performed
at thousands of special events, there were many people who made it
a point to tell me how much they enjoyed my performance. Those generous
compliments are often times what keeps a musician going. It is all
those people and fans who have been coming out to hear me sing for
years that I'd especially like to recognize. As I release my first
solo CD, please know that, your support and love will always be appreciated.
Thank you very, very much! In January 2004, I met with pianist "Paul
Schmeling" to begin the process of what turned out to be a truly wonderful
experience. Paul's vast musical knowledge is evident in the way he
constructs arrangements that are musically hip, yet, never get in
the way of the vocalist. Working with Paul was a privilege, he made
me feel very comfortable in the studio, more importantly, his complimentary
style of playing brought out some of my best work. All the excellent
musicians on this session are personal friends, so we really enjoyed
working together in the studio. As for the style of music I chose
for my first solo effort, I referred back to early childhood musical
recollections and personal memories. I can still see Mom & Dad dancing
around the kitchen, with me hanging on to Dad's leg. I remember singing
songs like "These foolish things remind me you" "It should of been
me with those crazy chicks", "Mama, he treats your daughter mean."
Artists like Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Billy Eckstine and Nat King Cole
are just a few that spun on the old RCA Victorola. I decided on Nat
King Cole because even today he is one of the world's most recognized
vocalists and one of my all time favorites. His many hit records gave
me lots of choices. I hope you enjoy our renditions of these classics
songs.
